Tyne Valley Health & Wellbeing CIC is a community-focused social enterprise supporting children, young people, adults, families and carers across Gateshead and the wider North East.
Our programmes use nature, outdoor activity and person-centred support to help people improve their physical health, mental wellbeing and quality of life.
To create safe, inclusive and therapeutic environments where people can learn, develop skills, improve wellbeing and participate fully in their communities.
To build stronger, healthier and more connected communities through wellbeing, environmental action and meaningful participation.

Our programmes are designed to create meaningful and lasting change for individuals and communities.
Together we are creating a place where people can grow, connect, contribute and thrive while building stronger, healthier and more inclusive communities.

Like many companies during COVID-19, our previous employer was sadly forced to close.
However, rather than just look for employment to replace the jobs we had lost, we both followed our hearts, and decided to do something meaningful with the vast expertise
that we have in care support and assistance...
We have created Tyne Valley Health & Wellbeing - a community interest company that puts to good use the skills and experience we have both gained in care support and assistance over the years. Whilst at the same time, engaging those who are hard to reach due to: Social Isolation, Mental Health, Learning Disabilities and Neurological Conditions (e.g Dementia).
Our approach has been developed around creating strong community links and partnerships with other non profit organisations with similar aims to ours.
See the real impact of our work through community gardens, skills workshops, walking groups and local partnerships that have already made a difference across the Tyne Valley.
Whether you want to join an activity, volunteer, refer a young person or support our work, there are many ways to be part of Tyne Valley Health & Wellbeing CIC.
From therapeutic horticulture and SEND support to alternative education and volunteering, our programmes help people of all ages and abilities grow, connect and thrive.
